Website Design
Ken I have also designed this website, and I can design a site to meets your needs. Whether you need a basic website that simply lets the world know how to get in contact with you, or a more elaborate website, I will work hard to provide you with a design that is both satisfying and functional. I can do your entire project economically too. I have designed websites for Little Italian Pizza in Naperville, the caving group Windy City Grotto, and you can view my personal website at Redeker's Travels.

Helpful Hints
I will often update the Helpful Hints to provide you with the easiest way to keep your computer running smooth and error free. Some of my Helpful Hints may even help you diagnose your own computer problem.

Recycle Your Electronics
My Green Electronics About 40% of the heavy metals, including lead, mercury and cadmium, in landfills come from 50 million computers and monitors and 130 million cell phones along with TVs and other electronics. Just 1/70th of a teaspoon of mercury can contaminate 20 acres of a lake, making the fish unfit to eat. Mercury can circulate in the air for up to one year and can be transported thousands of miles from its source. Mercury accumulates in the fatty tissue of fish and is constantly being recycled in the environment as it moves up the food chain. Visit Electronics Take Back Coalition and My Green Electronics to find a recycling center near you.

Computer Tips

Common indicators of faulty memory
  • Blue screens during the install of Windows 2000 or XP.
  • Random crashes or blue screens during the running or 2000 or XP. Note that heat can also be the culprit, so that you should test for that possibility too.
  • Crashes during memory intensive operations, 3D games, compiling, Photoshop, etc.
  • Distorted graphics on screen. This can also be related to the video card.
  • Failure to boot. This can be accompanied by repeated long beeps, which is the accepted BIOS beep code for a memory problem. In this circumstance, you cannot test the memory with diagnostic software, so your only option is testing by replacement.
