Keyboard Shortcuts

  1. Ctrl+A   =  Select All
  2. Ctrl+C   =  Copy
  3. Ctrl+V   =  Paste
  4. Ctrl+X   =  Cut
  5. Ctrl+Z   =  Undo
  6. Ctrl+S   =  Save Document
  7. Ctrl+P   =  Print Document
  8. Ctrl+N   =  New Document
  9. Ctrl+O   =  Open Existing Document
  10. Ctrl+F2   =  Displays the print preview window in Microsoft Word

  11. WIN   =  Displays Start Menu
  12. WIN+E   =  Starts Windows Explorer
  13. WIN+D   =  Displays the desktop
  14. WIN+F   =  Find files or folders
  15. WIN+M   =  Minimize normal windows
  16. WIN+R   =  Opens Run
  17. WIN+Break   =  Displays the System Properties sheet
  18. WIN+F1   =  Opens the Microsoft Windows help and support center

  19. F1   =  Displays help
  20. F2   =  In Windows commonly used to rename a highlighted icon or file
  21. F3   =  Find all box
  22. F4   =  Opens find window in Address bar of Internet Explorer
  23. F5   =  Refreshes current window
  24. F6   =  Moves the cursor to the Address bar in Internet Explorer and Firefox
  25. F7   =  Spell check and grammar check in programs such as Microsoft Word and Outlook
  26. F8   =  Function key, commonly used to get into Windows Safe Mode
  27. F10   =  In Microsoft Windows activates the menu bar of an open application
  28. F11  =  Full screen Internet without all the toolbars
  29. F12   =  Open the Save as window in Microsoft Word

  30. Make a folder by right clicking on the location you want it to be, select New, then Folder
  31. Right click the desktop to see or change options for your monitor display.
  32. If you hold the the right mouse button down while dragging an object, then release it, you will be given the choice to copy it, move it, or create a shortcut back to the original. (With the left mouse button you get no choice)
  33. To copy a file under any situation, hold the Ctrl key while dragging the file.
  34. Hold the Alt key while double-clicking on a file or folder to view the Properties window for that object
  35. Hold the Shift key while double-clicking on a folder to open Explorer at that location.
    (Careful when using this as Shift is also used to select multipe files)
  36. Press Backspace in an open folder to go to the parent folder.
  37. While displaying a web page, hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard. Now use the scroll wheel on your mouse to increase or decrease the size of the text.
